Phoebe Bridgers has just released a music video for ‘Savior Complex’, starring Emmy-nominated Irish actor Paul Mescal.
Bridgers has been effusive in her appreciation of the work of award-winning British actor, writer and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It turns out the feeling was mutual and, after connecting via email during lockdown, they planned the collaboration on the video.
The track is a fan-favourite from Punisher, the second studio album by the American singer-songwriter, released on June 18, 2020 by Dead Oceans.
Bridgers, 26, will perform the song for The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night, with a special rendition filmed at LA’s famed Magic Castle.
In May Mescal, 24, did a vodcast with the singer and the pair have been talking ever since.
The actor then invited the musician to Kinsale, Co Cork, and the duo were spotted enjoying breakfast together at an Irish cafe during her stay.
