The Osmonds – a New Musical is set to tour the UK starting from summer 2021.

This family-based jukebox musical tells the story of the Osmond brothers, teen idols from the 1970s who rose to fame at a young age following residency on The Andy Williams Show, and continued to grow in popularity as Donny and Marie joined the band.

Written by Jay Osmond, directed by Shaun Kerrison and choreographed by Bill Deamer, this new features a number of the band’s classic hits such as ‘Love Me For A Reason,’ ‘Crazy Horse,’ and ‘Let Me In.’

No casting announcements have been made so far, but the tour is set to start in London, at the New Wimbledon Theatre on the 26th August, 2021, with subsequent locations including Manchester, Brighton, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Liverpool.

The show’s website promises a “night of drama, nostalgia and dancing in the aisles.”

The Osmonds musical is a welcome boost for the UK theatre industry, at a time when performing arts continues to be adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tickets for some locations are already on sale, with more to be released from the 13th November.
