Casting has been announced for Theatre Royal Bath’s production of Oleanna, which will debut on November 25th, 2020.

The two leads will be played by John Heffernan and Rosie Sheehy in this highly-anticipated production, which will now be directed by Lucy Bailey (Titus Andronicus, Macbeth).

Heffernan (Dracula, Dickensian) will appear as John, and Sheehy (King John) as Carol.

David Mamet’s Oleanna caused controversy when it was first opened nearly thirty years ago. The plot involves a conversation between a college professor and one of his students, who goes on to file a claim of sexual harassment against him.

Addressing issues which remain strikingly current, Oleanna completes Theatre Royal Bath’s trio of ‘Welcome Back’ shows. The socially distanced shows run in the theatre’s main space.

The creative team for the production has not yet been revealed.
