The star-studded awards also celebrate talents from featured productions, including Spring Awakening, Bloody Elle, Anna X and Cabaret.

Kickstarting the awards, For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy has dominated the Best Performer in a Play category in a trailblazing nomination for the whole ensemble cast.

Both Hugh Coles from Back to the Future: The Musical and Ben Joyce from Jersey Boys have been nominated for Best Performer in a Musical and Best West End Debut Performer.

Audiences can vote on the Best West End Debut Performer category online, prior to votes closing on Sunday 4 September.

The Stage Debut Awards will be hosted on Sunday 18 September and live-streamed to viewers via The Stage’s Facebook page.
