“Suspended clear in the sky are the words that we sing in our dreams.” – ‘Let There Be Love’
It’s easy to dismiss Oasis as a band who had two great albums before it all went wrong. While nothing the band did in the later years could ever live up to the legacy of Definitely, Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, there are some brilliant tracks on the later albums. ‘Let There Be Love,’ from Don’t Believe the Truth, an amazing album in its own right, is among some of Oasis’ lovelier songs. This lyric is particularly poetic, presenting unity and true love. It is reminiscent of ‘Slide Away’ in its tone and romanticism, transporting the listener to a state of bliss.
