The Sims has officially unveiled their next expansion pack: Cottage Living.

Set for release on July 22nd, The Sims 4: Cottage Living brings a new location to the game with the town of Henford-on-Bagley. This new town brings new characters, new skills, hobbies and even new folklore for the player to learn about.

Among the new features in the pack will be the ability for players to grow their own produce to showcase at fairs or to create delicious meals for their Sims. Players will also be able to keep new pets, with llamas, cows and chickens being added to the game. The first look trailer also revealed that players will also be able to interact with wild birds and rabbits in the new countryside setting.

The official description of the new pack says “Delight in the quaint charm of The Sims4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack* with animal friends, garden-to-table meals, and a close-knit community. At home, cook with the family using the freshest ingredients. Explore the forest to befriend woodland creatures or forage for food, or head to town to meet the locals. Whether Sims are hugging a cow, making friends (or enemies) with their chickens, or growing the biggest vegetables around, the countryside is abundant with new experiences and ways to connect with the world around them.”

The new pack is part of the “Summer of Sims” roadmap, including the recently released Dream Home Decorator pack and a host of additional content over the summer months. As a bonus for Cottage Living, players who purchase the pack before September 2nd will receive bonus items.

The Sims 4: Cottage Living will be available on Origin PC/Mac, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from July 22nd.
