Radiohead have been confirmed as the first headliner for Glastonbury Festival 2017. Rumors had been flying about for months following the release of their latest album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool‘ earlier this year. As of yet, no more 2017 tour dates have been announced for the album.
Yesterday sent fans into a whirlwind of emotions when the band’s ‘bear face’ logo appeared next to the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm, causing further speculation and excitement amongst fans as the logo took shape overnight.
This marks 20 years since they first headlined the Pyramid Stage with their legendary 1997 performance off the back of the runaway success of ‘OK Computer’. They last headlined in 2003, and have played ‘secret shows’ at the festival several times since, the last time being in 2013.

This is the earliest a Glastonbury headliner has been officially confirmed, with the first wave of acts usually announced at the beginning of March each year. Radiohead are the only confirmed acts as of now; they will play the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night. As for the other two headliners strong suggestions and sourced information is pointing towards The Stone Roses and Daft Punk, still yet to be confirmed though.
