FIFA 17
Rounding out the sport releases for September is the latest FIFA title. After the success of last year’s title, FIFA 17 looks to go one better. Along with the updated visuals, gameplay set pieces, and team roster, FIFA 17 will also feature a new story mode. In The Journey, players take on the role of Alex Hunter, a 17 year old with aspirations of playing in the Premier League. In this mode, players can choose which one of the 20 clubs to play for and also be able to choose which position he plays on the pitch. Serving as a guide during this mode will be Alex’s grandfather Jim – who is a retired striker – with player’s choices affecting how they progress through the story.
Also new to FIFA 17 will be new challenges in the Ultimate Team mode. New challenges – based around filling certain requirements when creating a team – will see player unlock new rewards and in-game content. Those looking for a game-play challenge can try and enter the Weekend Leagues – where the top players will be able to play in real-world tournaments to win part of a $1.3 million prize-pot. Those who order the Deluxe Edition will receive 20 Ultimate Team Jumbo Premium Packs, 3-Match Team of the Week FUT Loan players, Special Edition FUT kits and other in-game bonuses.
FIFA 17 will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC from September 29*
