The highly anticipated TV competition, Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream, has announced that the show will be hosted by radio DJ and TV presenter Zoe Ball. She will be joined by comedian and TV presenter Alan Carr, singer songwriter Jessie Ware, Olivier Award Winner actress and singer Amber Riley, and West End performer and actress Samantha Barks as judges.

Judy Craymer, the creator and global producer of Mamma Mia! And the co-executive producer of the TV show, will also be on hand to provide expertise to the judges in making their decisions.

The show is set to air on ITV1 and ITVX later in the year, and will hunt for two musical theatre performers to play the roles of Sophie and Sky in the West End musical, Mamma Mia!. The roles were played by Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper in the original blockbuster film. It will be set against an idyllic backdrop of the Greek islands, where contestants will be mentored by guest industry professionals through workshops in singing dancing and acting, as they aim to be cast in these roles.

This show follows many others in this format. Other roles which have been cast in this manner include Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Nancy in Oliver! and Maria in The Sound of Music.
