Since its inception in 2006, Live at Leeds has brought the best of new music, as well as some of the most experienced acts you can find. Now entering it’s tenth year, the festival yet again fails to disappoint, bringing in the likes of Mystery Jets, Band of Skulls and We Are Scientists.
Our writers Zia Larty-Hearty and Lewis Evans took a look at 10 of the must see bands at this year’s Live At Leeds.
Hannah Lou Clark
Hannah Lou Clark is not new on the scene. She has grafted for years, as part of various projects. Her success dates all the way back to supporting Marina and the Diamonds in 2012 fronting FOE, whose tunes carried a nostalgic grunge-y 90s feel. Now she’s shed the garish synthetic wigs and she’s out on her own – off the back of playing Roundhouse Rising and supporting Gaz Coombes, with new solo material to sink your teeth into. The label Quatres Femmes Records, run by Hannah and her sisters, is releasing her new EP It’s Your Love on 22nd April. Sounding sweet but fiery, Hannah is all set to become this generation’s PJ Harvey. Her stint at this year’s Live at Leeds should not be missed.
