Out of Space // The Prodigy

One band that made an impression on me from an early age was The Prodigy. I’d hear their music in the early 2000’s when I would watch my auntie and her friends getting ready for a night out and be forever asking what the song they were playing was. The alternative dance and ‘big beat’ sound was something I loved listening to and a style that was used a lot by artists back in the 1990s.
I remember hearing ‘Out of Space’ and just thinking ‘what on earth is this?’ (in the best possible way!). Of course I’d already heard dance and electronic music, but The Prodigy were just in a league of their own. They stood out from the rest. It was at this point that, instead of just listening to music and enjoying it, I really began to feel something towards what I was listening to and I guess I could say that this was when music became a true passion of mine.
