Up next is the master piece by the late, great Ziggy Stardust himself. Words cannot describe how sad I was when I found out that he had died. I could have chosen a number of other songs for this list, such as Moonage Daydream, Heroes or Absolute Beginners, but this song has always had huge meaning for me. I’ve always interpreted this song as a story of a young girl who is addicted to cinema/television because she dreams of having a life that is portrayed in Hollywood movies, but she can never reach that life. It’s just one of those songs that you want to sing at the top of your voice whenever you hear it. It’s truly a master piece, and one of Bowie’s finest songs.
