The winners of this year’s Gayming Awards have been announced. Hosted by Julia Hardy, the awards celebrated all aspects of LGBTQ+ gaming and geek culture.
With three wins, Life is Strange: True Colors was the top winner of the night. The game took home awards for Best Character for lead Alex Chen, Authentic Representation, and the Game of the Year.
Among this year’s winners were Resident Evil Village, which won the Gayming Magazine Readers Award, and Unpacking, which won the Best LGBTQ Indie Game.
Also among the honourees were Rainbow Six caster Emi “CaptainFluke” Donaldson, who was celebrated for her contribution to Esports and the Rainbow Six community and Tanya DePass, aka “Cypheroftyr”, author and founder of I Need Diverse Games, was named this year’s Gayming Icon.
