Dishonored (PS3, 2013)

One rather regrettable consequence of getting Dishonored at Christmas is that I now associate a time of happiness and cheer with murder and plague, but hey, it’s one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played. I spent Christmas 2013 and the early part of 2014 sneaking, stealing and occasionally stabbing my way around Dunwall, a city powered by whale oil, while a sickness ravages the poor and corruption ravages the rich.

I won’t spoil the story here, but I really would advise you to buy it at any opportunity.  If this game was a song, it would be ‘Shot by Both Sides’ by Magazine. Bleak, wild, angry and betrayed. Just…don’t buy it around Christmas.
