Judging from the brothers interactions on twitter, Oasis fans could see a band reunion this year.

Liam Gallagher, the English singer songwriter best known as the frontman for the rock band Oasis from 1991 to 2009 has called for a reunion with his brother and bandmate Noel in a New Years tweet.

During their final tour in August 2009 for their last album Dig Out Your Soul, the band split up due to Noel no longer being able to work with Liam. The Mancunian band split up in 2009, leading to an ongoing feud between the Gallagher brothers over a decade later.

Liam has said in multiple interviews and tweets that he would love to get the band back together and do a tour but states that Noel is never interested; A reunion has been mentioned for years but often nothing comes of it.

However, there is a possibility Oasis could return without Noel for charity. In March last year Liam said he would reunite the band “with or without his brother” to raise money for the NHS.

In an interview on the Graham Norton Show Liam was asked “Do you really not like each other or is it just a rockstar thing?” Liam replied: “No we genuinely don’t like each other man we really don’t get on”.

Liam left the band and started Beady Eye, curating a successful solo career, whilst Noel went on to have success with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

In February it was claimed that Noel turned down an offer of £100 Million to reunite the Mancunian band.

” To whoever might be arsed: I am not aware of any offer from anybody for any amount of money to reform the legendary Mancunian Rock’n’Roll group Oasis”.

Noel’s response to these claims.

Liam often tweets his opinions and has consistently Tweeted about Noel being the reason for Oasis no longer being together.
