Kings of Leon have returned from their five year hiatus with the release of two new singles. ‘The Bandit’ and ‘100,000 people’ are from their upcoming album When You See Yourself, due to be released on March 5th, 2021.

‘The Bandit’, an up-tempo alt-rock track, sees the Kings bounce back with their classic use of strong vocals and rhythmic hooks. The song also is paired with a monochrome music video featuring all four members performing on stage.

‘100’000’ although a slow burner has an incredible chorus and features enchanting percussion. The mid-tempo, folk-rock track has a laid-back rhythm to it.

The bands upcoming eighth album, When You See Yourself is their first release since their 2016 album, Walls. Featuring hit single ‘Waste A Moment’, their last release was the band’s first number one album on the Billboard 200.

When You See Yourself was produced by Markus Dravs, who’s previously worked with artists like Arcade Fire and Coldplay.

New music has been anticipated by Kings of Leon fans for the past year; A release was expected back in February 2020 when the band tweeted: “the w8 is nearly over”. However, bassist Jared Followill sent out his apologies on Christmas day for the delay, reassuring fans new music would be with them in two weeks.

The four-piece Nashville-based band announced their new album in a surprise t-shirt mailer that was sent to fans. They also revealed the tracklist.
