The nominations for the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards have been announced.
Leading this year’s field is Returnal and It Takes Two, which both have eight nominations each. Other multiple nominees are Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which picked up seven nominations, with both Psychonauts 2 and Forza Horizon 5 picking up six nominations each.
In the Best Game category, It Takes Two, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal and Forza Horizon 5 are all nominated, alongside Deathloop and Inscryption. Forza Horizon 5 will also be in the running for Best British Game alongside Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, Death’s Door, Fights in Tight Spaces, Overboard! and Sable.
Ahead of the awards ceremony on April 7, fans will also be able to vote in the EE Game of the Year category. Nominated in this category are Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Deathloop, the Forgotten City, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread and Unpacking. Votes can be cast here with the closing date set for April 1.
