Name: PEACH
Hometown: London
Listen to: My Love Makes You Ugly, Fanny Fright Frank

A two-piece who describe themselves as “indie punk rock and other things”, PEACH are undoubtedly a band set to make great waves in 2016. Consisting of Josh Truscott on guitar/vocals and Ben Elliott on drums, the band’s sound is characterised by infectious riffs, wry lyricism and raw vocals.

This signature sound is evident in debut release WILF E.P.  Lead track ‘My Love Makes You Ugly’ is the lovechild of Slaves and Queens of the Stone Age, while ‘Fanny Fright Frank’ is what I imagine listening to a John Cooper Clarke poem on acid would sound like.  Speaking about their debut release, PEACH frontman Josh Truscott said “Most of them are just love songs, when I write I’m usually on my own because Ben will be away somewhere. They all seem to end up being about desire as well which is often what I’m thinking about in the small hours of the morning”.

With new material being written and a string of UK gigs in the pipeline, it is clear this is not the last we’ve heard from this duo.
