Deaf Havana and Swim Deep are among the final wave of acts to be confirmed for this year’s Handmade Festival.
Last year, the festival saw explosive acts such as Slaves, Eagulls and TOY conquer Leicester’s O2 Academy and this year’s line-up looks set to top that.
Headliners We Are Scientists, Deaf Havana and Swim Deep will also be joined by: Lonely The Brave, Los Campesinos!, Black Honey, Oscar, Pretty Vicious, The Magic Gang, Big Deal and The Excerts, to name but a few. The festival’s ability to draw in these big acts is a testimony to its growing reputation and highlights its aspiration to become one of the UK’s leading independent festivals. This is a line-up to be admired, and then admired some more.
2016’s festival will also offer a lot more than just music. In addition to the musical talent on show, there will be a host of art, comedy and film, which will be cast over a number of indoor venues across the weekend.
This year’s festival will be run in association with Big Scary Monsters, Alcopop! and Last.FM among others. A blossoming reputation has also attracted the involvement of new festival partners, with stage curation and involvement coming from UPSET magazine, Wichita Records and BBC Introducing.
The fourth incarnation of the festival will take place over the weekend of 29th April – 1st May, at Leicester’s O2 Academy, so what better way to spend your bank holiday. Tickets for the festival are currently on sale at £40 and can be found here.
