Last year’s Handmade Festival saw the likes of Bo Ningen, TOY and Slaves among others take over and cause havoc at Leicester’s O2 Academy. It was a heavy line up which had some great performances, including the crowd favourite God Damn.
At the end of this month, Handmade will be back again for three days with a completely new line up, showcasing the greatest talent in Leicester, along with some new acts to keep your eye on. Here is The Indiependent’s eight acts to see at Handmade Festival.
Get Inuit
These Kent natives played Handmade Festival last year and will be back again as they continue to grow bigger and better. Self described as ‘dirty pop’, it may not be as silly as it suggests considering the massive pop intentions injected into their fast-paced indie rock.
Get Inuit are becoming quite a name to look out for this year, with multiple festival appearances already lined up this summer, Handmade could be a great stepping stone for them. Latest single ‘Prop Procrastinator’ shows just how good they are at writing catchy and fun hooks.
Get Inuit have grown so much in the past year, their appearance this year is sure to attract crowds as they will take to the Big Scary Monsters and Alcopop Records stage on the Saturday.
