Last year’s Handmade Festival saw the likes of Bo Ningen, TOY and Slaves among others take over and cause havoc at Leicester’s O2 Academy. It was a heavy line up which had some great performances, including the crowd favourite God Damn.

At the end of this month, Handmade will be back again for three days with a completely new line up, showcasing the greatest talent in Leicester, along with some new acts to keep your eye on. Here is The Indiependent’s eight acts to see at Handmade Festival.

The Magic Gang

Magic Gang-15
The Brighton music scene is a plethora of talent at the minute and you can add The Magic Gang to that list. They’ve featured in NME and had live sessions on Radio 1 already proving that they’re not just potential, but already the real thing.

They have a great dynamic, with lots of transatlantic vibes courtesy of some Weezer-esque riffs. One of the best things about them is the quality of songwriting, they’re a band who clearly know what they’re doing in the practice room. There is a real underbelly of feel good vibes.

The Future Perfect stage on the Friday night is dominated by young, emerging and energetic bands and you can add The Magic Gang to that list. They will be taking to the stage before fellow Brighton rockers Black Honey.
