The first details of WWE 2K20 have been announced by 2K Games. Launching in October, the game will feature two superstars on the cover – current Raw Women’s champion Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns. The inclusion of Lynch marks the first time a woman has been featured on the cover – a moment which has been marked with the game’s launch trailer.

The game’s showcase mode will put a spotlight on the Women’s Evolution following the careers of Lynch and her fellow Horsewomen – Sasha Banks, current SmackDown Women’s champion Bayley and Charlotte Flair – while the Towers games mode makes a comeback with a new tower featuring some of Reigns’ best matches. The game’s career mode will also include the opportunity to play as male or female for the first time and mixed tag matches will also feature.
The game’s Deluxe Edition will feature access to in-game perks and additional content – including the chance to play as WWE Hall of Famer Chyna for the first time – as well as special content for tie-in mobile game WWE SuperCard. The Collector’s Edition will also include exclusive and rare collectables marking the 20th anniversary of SmackDown.
WWE 2K20 is scheduled to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 22. Full details about the games and pre-orders can be found on the official WWE 2K20 website.
