The winners of The Game Awards 2019 have been announced. Celebrating the gaming releases of the last year, the accolade for Game of the Year was awarded to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which was also named the Best Action/Adventure Game. Among the other big winners were Disco Elysium, which picked up four awards, and Death Stranding, which won three awards.
While celebrating this year’s best, the awards also featured a look at what gamers can expect in the future, with the announcements of sequels for The Wolf Among Us and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and the first official tie-in game from The Fast and Furious franchise – Fast and Furious: Crossroads.
The next console from Xbox, previously named Project Scarlett, is now officially Xbox Series X and there the announcement that Ghost of Tsushima will be launching in Summer 2020 with a new trailer. There was also a host of other games announced at the event, including the first look at Godfall – which is confirmed for a release on PlayStation 5 and PC.
