Square Enix have released details of Kingdom Hearts II.8: Final Chapter Prologue.
The game, which will be available on PS4, will feature three titles in a single compilation release. First is a HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance – originally released on 3DS in 2012 – which focuses on Sora and Riku preparing for the Mark of Mastery exam.
Second is Back Cover, a new series telling the tale of the Foretellers from Kingdom Hearts X. This titles will also feature new HD cinematics to further expand the story of the series and the web based title.
Finally is Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage. Set after the original Birth by Sleep and tying into Kingdom Hearts III, this story takes place directly after Dream Drop Distance and further expands on the original story, which was from Aqua’s perspective.
Kingdom Hearts II.8: Final Chapter Prologue will be available on PlayStation 4 in 2016. Watch the trailer below.
