Take Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games has announced that there will be exclusive next-gen content from Grand Theft Auto Online.
Speaking during the latest earnings call, the company stated that “…additional content exclusive to the new consoles and PC” is planned for the online game. The content is scheduled to arrive in 2021 but there were no details on what type of content would be included.
This comes after the announcement that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of Grand Theft Auto V would include a standalone version of the online multiplayer, which was launched in 2013.
Rockstar Games confirmed in June that the next-gen editions are currently scheduled to be released in the second half of 2021. At present, it is unclear of the new online content will also go live at the point or if it will be on a staggered release schedule.
