Gaming News – Golden Joystick Winners Announced

Overwatch was the big winner at the annual ceremony.

This year’s Golden Joystick winners have been announced. During the ceremony at London’s IndigO2 there was awards for Pokemon Go!, Titanfall 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The biggest winner of the night was Overwatch, which took home 5 awards, while Dark Souls 3 won the coveted Game of The Year title.

The ceremony also saw Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda series, honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

  • Nintendo Game of the Year – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
  • PC Game of the Year – Overwatch
  • Xbox Game of the Year – Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Competitive Game of the Year – Overwatch
  • Competitive Play of the Year – Coldzera’s jumping AWP quad kill at MLG Columbus
  • Best Handheld/Mobile Game – Pokemon Go!
  • Critic’s Choice – Titanfall 2
  • Gaming Personality of the Year – Sean Plott (Day(9))
  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Eiji Aonuma
