Ubisoft showcased two of their upcoming virtual reality projects. First up was Eagle Flight, a flight simulation experience that puts players in the place of the titular bird as they explore the world around them. To demonstrate the game, there was a live demo of “Capture the Prey”, the 3v3 capture the flag style mode. In this mode, players have to get a rabbit from one location back to their ‘nest’ in order to win the point. For this demo, the teams were placed in a version of Paris which has been reclaimed by nature.

Secondly was a new project – Star Trek Bridge Crew. In this title, players can take one of the positions on the bridge of a new ship, the USS Aegis, and travel through space as they test the ship along with the rest of the crew. To help launch this project, developers Red Storm brought together three Star Trek alumni – LeVar Burton, Jeri Ryan and Karl Urban – to try the game and get their insight on how the experience works as a group. To further expand on the experience, Burton joined Aisha Tyler on stage at the conference to discuss his experience of the game.
