Xbox Family Grows

Microsoft announced some details of some upcoming hardware for fans to enjoy. First was the confirmation of the Xbox One S. This new console is 40% smaller than the standard Xbox One, comes with hard drive of up to 2TB in size and is 4K video ready. The console will also come with a wireless/bluetooth controller to get players started. The console will be released in August, with a US price of $299.

Next was the launch of the Xbox Design Lab – an online service where players can create their own custom Xbox One wireless controllers. With around 8 million different combinations of elements to choose from, there will be something for everyone.

Finally, there was the official confirmation and announcement of Project Scorpio – Microsoft’s next console project. Unveiled in a short clip, featuring contributions from game and console developers from Xbox and beyond, the Project Scorpio console will be fully compatible with all current – and future Xbox One hardware. Billed as the most advanced console yet, Project Scorpio is scheduled for a Holiday 2017 release.
