Xbox Connecting

After the recent Xbox One update, which brings Cortana to consoles, Microsoft have confirmed details for more updates to come to Xbox Live. Background music will soon be available on Xbox One for the first time, allowing player to have their own music playing while they play.

Coming in the fall will be three new features on Xbox Live, designed to cater to different connection needs. Clubs will allow players to create communities based on their favourite games and the different aspects within them, Looking for Group will allow players to connect with each other based on their particular needs within a game and Arena will be a new tournament based update where players can play each other in challenges created by Xbox and each other based on content. EA will also be contributing content to Arena after it launches later in the year.

Lastly, was the introduction of Play Anywhere. This new feature will connect games to platforms in a way that will allow players to buy a game once and have it available across systems. During the conference, Gears of War 4, Sea of Thieves, ReCore, Scalebound, Forza Horizon 3 and Halo Wars 2 were all confirmed to be part of this new program. With Play Anywhere, users will be able to pick up their games from where they left off on one platform and pick up on another.
