Cyberpunk 2077, the latest project from the well-known studio, CD Projekt Red is set to launch December 10th.

There is a lot of buzz around this game after it’s announcement almost a decade ago and several delays. But finally, fans will finally get their chance to play the open world, futuristic RPG.

With only a few days to go, CD Projekt Red has released more details about the game’s launch.

The developers have been releasing short diaries online, every week in the run-up to the game’s launch. Due to the COVID – 19 lockdown, social media has been utilised more than ever to generate hype.

The developers released a Tweet detailing the release times and when those who have bought the game can preload it on their PC or console.

Preloading is when you buy a digital edition of a game, which is most of the time now, especially for PC and you install it before the product’s release date. This means fans can play the game, the moment it releases.

CD Projekt Red also announced they have teamed up with Twitter Gaming for a special launch party event.

The event is set to take place on December 9th 3 PM Pacific Time, which is 11 PM in the UK.

The devs say it will feature a Q&A and exclusive footage of the game’s behind the scenes development.

There is a lot of hype around Cyberpunk 2077, most likely due to the multiple delays with the company trying to get the game ready for next-gen consoles. After 7 years, fans are hoping to not be disappointed especially during a lockdown when gaming and streaming services have been on an exponential rise.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia from December 10 and on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in 2021. Preloading is available now for digital pre-orders.
