FIFA 16
Following on from the Legends feature explored during the Microsoft briefing, EA took fans deeper still into FIFA 16. Helping them explain how the new Ultimate Team Draft 16 feature will work in actual gameplay were footballers Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher. Putting together a team with the game’s chosen options (formation, captain then a choice of five players for each position on the pitch) may take a bit of time – especially if more than one person is making the choice as in the demo. For those who master this, then there are tournaments on various different levels to play online with massive in game bonus packs to be won.
On the topic of the Career mode, FIFA 16 will see the addition of 12 women’s national teams, pre-season tournaments, more rigorous player training modes for both youth and first teams, improvements to transfer and scouting options as well as new venues and weather conditions. Within the gameplay itself, there’s additions such as no touch dribbling, smart defending and passing with purpose and to create more of a realistic atmosphere, over 900 new chants and crowd songs have been added to the game.
There was also some additional bonuses for the crowd. A look at the mocap process with some of the players from the most played squad in FIFA, Real Madrid (who are featured in over 1.3 million matches a day), a look at the new Bundesliga graphics option for matches and one lucky fan at the conference – along with one on Twitter – won two tickets to the El Classico match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in November.
