GAME customers are once again facing delays to play one of the year’s biggest launches: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Customers have taken to social media to claim that the retailer has taken payment for a pre-order but failed to provide their copy on launch day. Despite the issue, customers are claiming that there has been no communication from the retailer on when they will have it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the twenty-first instalment in the Call of Duty series and the seventh main entry in the Black Ops series following Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War which was released in 2020.

Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller that is set in the early 90’s. The game focuses on a period of transition and upheaval in global politics after the events of the Cold War that left the United States viewed as a ‘single superpower.’

The game has multiple different features including multiplayer, round-based zombie mode, dynamic gameplay and the feature of omnimovement. Omnimovement is a new feature in the game that critics are branding as futuristic and dynamic. Instead of just moving forward in the game, you can sprint and dive in any direction which allows players a much more seamless combat experience.

Due to the hype surrounding the game, fans were full of anticipation for the release date but were disappointed when their pre-orders did not deliver their copy on time despite money being taken by GAME.

GAME has issued an apology via their helpdesk ©GAME

GAME’s support site did have a brief note addressing the complaints, stating that the  current orders are ‘processing.’ However, many are claiming that this is typical of the retailer and not for the first time, noting other games where this issue has occurred.

GAME previously encouraged customers to pre-order Black Ops 6 with the incentive of a Steelbook case and the ability to play on the day of release (25.10.24). But with many still being unable to access their paid-for game, it’s putting the retailer in the spotlight once again for the wrong reasons.

Customer Support for the company has claimed that this new release is part of a series of games that are delayed until this week, so it’s an inconvenient waiting game for players who have purchased from this retailer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on Xbox, Playstation and PC.
