Full Cast Revealed For National Theatre’s ‘The Normal Heart’ And ‘Manor’

The National Theatre have announced further casting for upcoming productions The Normal Heart and Manor, which will run for the remainder of this year.

Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart will run from 23 September to 6 November. Ben Daniels stars in the production as Ned Weeks, the co-founder of an AIDS advocacy group fighting to change the world. Dino Fetscher and Richard Cant also join the previously announced cast members Robert Bowman, Liz Carr, Daniel Krikler, Daniel Monks, Elander Moore, Luke Norris, Henry Nott, Freddie Stabb and Danny Lee Wynter.

The show is co-produced with Fictionhouse and will feature set design by Vicki Mortimer and costume design by Lisa Duncan. There will also be lighting design by Paule Constable, sound design by Carolyn Downing and fight direction by Bret Yount.

It will be directed by Dominic Cooke and performed in the Olivier.

Moira Buffini’s new play Manor takes to the stage 16 November to 1 January. It follows Diana, the owner of a run down manor, who shelters a group of people including Ted, the charismatic leader of a far-right organisation, during a storm.

Shaun Evans will portray Ted, and Nancy Carroll will play Diana. Other cast members include Effie Ansah, Michele Austin, Helen Barford, Chris Barritt, Mat Betteridge, Sophie Bradley, Peter Bray, Sophie Cartman, Gillian Dean, Liadán Dunlea, Amy Forrest, Lewis Griffin, David Hargreaves, Edward Judge, Owen McDonnell and Shaniqua Okwok.

The show will be directed by Fiona Buffini, with set and costume design by Lez Brotherston, lighting design by Jon Clark and composition and sound design by Jon Nicholls. There will also be video design by Nina Dunn and fight direction by Kate Waters.

Tickets are available from 30 July.
