Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun – Netflix

Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun is crazy. It’s straight-up ridiculous in the best, strangest and most absurd of ways. The fact that this is the second sketch show on this list hopefully proves that sketch comedy is still alive and kicking. Created by Australian sketch troupe Aunty Donna, House of Fun is the group’s first collaboration with streaming giant Netflix and their first major production.

You know Aunty Donna is bringing the heat right from the get-go, kicking off the show with fan-favourite musical sketch ‘Everything’s a Drum’ – which sees the lads absolutely destroying the house before being interrupted by a talking dishwasher voiced by Kristen Schaal. Yep.

There are six episodes across the show’s first season and every episode contains sketches centred around that episode’s title/subject (‘Housemates’, ‘Treasure’, etc.). A whole plethora of guest stars such as ‘Jerry Seinfeld’, Ed/Egg Helms, Anthony Starr, Awesome Kong, Weird Al Yankovic, Paul F. Tompkins and ‘Queen Elizabeth’ appear throughout the show, and each episode features a weird musical number. It’s quite an experience.

When you’re done binging the show’s first season (please do, so it gets a second), you can find a ton of the group’s past work on their YouTube channel – you can even see some of the sketches in their original, unaltered beauty!

Good luck and stay weird.
