In this dreary weather, everyone has started planning their summers and Truck Festival is definitely something to consider. Celebrating their 20th birthday, Truck Festival have been hit with positive feedback since releasing their first wave of bands on February 6th. Travelling down to the festival to headline this years event are The Libertines, The Vaccines and Franz Ferdinand.
July 21st-23rd will see thousands of festival goers descend on Steventon, a small village outside Oxford. The first 40 or so names have been released, promising to be one of the festivals best years yet. Other acts include The Wombats, Slaves, Maximo Park, The Magic Gang, Sundara Karma, Nothing But Thieves, Twin Atlantic, Loyle Carner, Jagwar MA, Hot 8 Brass Band, British Sea Power and the ever popular Mr Motivator to help sluggish festival goers brush off their morning hangovers.
Last year the festival included the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Manic Street Preachers, Kodaline, Everything Everything, Circa Waves and Ratboy. Since this is only the first line up release we’re sure that Truck Festival will be releasing many more popular bands over the next few months to accommodate whose already been released.
Tickets are currently on sale and are going quick, having reached tier 4 before the first set of names were even released. Known as the Godfather of all Festivals, Truck is really one to keep your eye on.
