Sunday

Queens Social Club, a small, intimate and very sweaty venue located on the outskirts of Sheffield, was the place to be on Sunday. The Big Moon, Shopping and Honeyblood all played successful sets that were enticing and appealing, but the real show stealers of the night were Nai Harvest, a lo-fi emo band. Their set was bursting with exuberance and confidence, and frontman Ben Thompson, despite nursing what seemed to be a hangover (he even stopped and asked the crowd “who else is feeling terrible?” to which a Mexican wave of arms sprouted into the air) had a confident and convincing stage presence. A brilliant way to end what was, overall, a brilliant three days filled with music.
