Festival Preview: The Great Escape 2017

Another day welcomes another festival announcement and today sees a further 100 acts confirmed for this year’s The Great Escape  festival in Brighton. The festival champions new and upcoming bands from not only the UK but from all over the world. The world renowned festival, which uses various venues dotted around the South Coast city of Brighton, showcases a vast array of genres including hip-hop, rap, pop, indie and electronica and will take place from Thursday 18th until Saturday 20th May 2017.

The Great Escape brings the cream of the crop to Brighton’s many venues with today’s announcement including ‘punk’ duo Slaves, The Magic Gang and fresh from their support slot with The 1975, The Japanese House.

In total 400+ acts will descend on the South Coast and take over over 35 venues all over Brighton. Previously announced acts include Goat Girl, Rag N Bone Man and The Moonlandingz.

Tickets are available and priced at £60 for an adult ticket and priced at £32 for young adults (aged 16-17). A 3-day Festival ticket gives you access to the core venues, subject to each venues capacity. The same with previous years, a small number of the shows will take place at The Dome in Brighton. The line-up for these shows will be announced closer to the festival. To ensure guaranteed access to Dome Shows, attendees will be able to top up their festival wristband for a small fee, or purchase separate gig tickets. Tickets can be purchased here.
