This September see’s a brand new festival enter Birmingham, Beyond The Tracks Festival not only boasts a stellar line up in it’s first year but also is in a prime location near Birmingham’s City Centre and New Street Station meaning easy routes in and out of the city for the inaugural festival.
The Festival takes place on 15th-17th September on the Eastside City Park in Digbeth and will see an eclectic choice of music over the 3 day festival. The Friday sees a double bill of electronic pioneers Orbital and 90’s dance heroes Leftfield, playing their seminal album Leftism in full, topping the bill. They will also be joined by Saturday headliners Ocean Colour Scene who return to their hometown as well as dark indie darlings Editors who close the festival on the Sunday.
The festival has also produced a stellar undercard for it’s first outing with well established acts like Glasgow’s The Jesus and Mary Chain, Liverpool’s own indie rockers The Coral and noughties indie heroes Maximo Park heading to the country’s second city.
We will also see a range of local talent being showcased at Beyond The Tracks including Superfood who will be bringing their new sound back home to Digbeth, Jaws who return to their humble B-Town surroundings and local indie stars The Twang. You’ll also be able to catch 90’s shoegazers Slowdive, ex-New Order bassist Peter Hook and the Light and Aussie psych band Jagwar Ma lighting up the brand new Festival.
