Too // FIDLAR

FIDLAR’s most recent album, Too, is definitely one of my favourite albums of 2015. Too was a true embodiment of the restless teen spirit, filled with angsty lyrics and killer instrumentals. With its sick guitar solos and upbeat sound, Too was filled with tunes perfect for every setting, from dancing at a party to hanging out with friends. The album encompasses a wide variety of songs spanning from the upbeat ‘West Coast’ to the heavy hitting ‘40 oz on Repeat’ to the slower, more serious ‘Stupid Decisions.’ Too transformed FIDLAR into a band with a more diversified sound. The album contains something for everyone to enjoy, not only long time FIDLAR fans. In a way, FIDLAR seemed to grow up with us with the release of Too. It is more mature than its preceding album without lacking familiar FIDLAR concepts such as making bad decisions, doing drugs, and having a good time. FIDLAR shares that growing up sucks and life can be a total mess, but Too is the album I want to listen to while embracing these facts.
