Mediatonic has announced that Fall Guys will be going fully free to play on June 21, the same day the game will launch on Xbox and Switch consoles.

The news was announced during a special presentation on May 16, which also confirmed that the game will have full cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms. With “Season 1: Free For All”, players will be able to team up with friends no matter which platform they play on, as the game will use Epic Games accounts to provide the link.

Players who already own the game on PlayStation and Steam will receive a Legacy Pack of items, including unique cosmetics plus the first paid-for Battle Pass, which will be available alongside the free Battle Pass.

A new “Show-Bucks” currency will also be introduced, but Mediatonic did not reveal full pricing details or how it compares to the existing “Kudos” currency, which will remain after the transition to free-to-play.

Fall Guys is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store from June 21.
