Laval: Dip Eyeliner
I’m not sure why lathering jet-black liquid onto my eyelids makes me feel better, but plenty of girls would agree that neat flicks at perfect angles are pretty satisfying. I prefer liquid because I’m obsessed with the whole ‘60s aesthetic – Bardot, Twiggy, Sedgwick – so I like this eyeliner as it’s easy to build up thick, bold lines. For some reason, the one I swear by is dirt-cheap, and requires a trip to a dodgy market. Yet it’s worth it, because the price is nearly a third of most conventional liners, and a mere fraction of high-end ones; there are hardly any noticeable differences, except for the fact that the bottle and branding of this one is boringly minimalistic. It’s hard to come by, as this particular brand is sold by independent buyers (a bit like Avon) – but if you manage to acquire some, it stays on for hours and works a dream.
