Kent-born Boe Huntress is a force to be reckoned with. After wowing the audiences with a spine-tingling version of ‘Lazarus’ during David Bowie’s tribute show Starman: a Tribute to Bowie, she returns to the Islington Union Chapel for the launch of her debut EP A Female Power. The EP will be brought to life through an ambitious theatre and audiovisual performance, which is taking place during January, culminating in the EP launch on the 28th. All the performances have sold out, showing off her burgeoning reputation.

Boe has a passion for both myths and feminism, while her music has received airplay on BBC 6 Music. Her gravelly, soulful voice is backed by ethereal minimalistic production, which works superbly on lead single ‘Day Becomes Night.’ The delay on the chorus adds a refreshing touch, the listener becoming immediately invited into a journey to the Underworld.

A Female Power is a concept EP, inspired by four female mythological figures, discovering the unexplored aspects of how we see a woman. Judging by the lead single, it is set to be a head-spinning journey into Boe’s mind and one that should boost her reputation.
