The award-winning Age Is A Feeling has announced additional performance dates at the Soho Theatre in February due to popular demand.

Following a sell-out run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, the show has begun its three-week run at the Soho Theatre until Saturday 24 September, then from Tuesday 14 February to Saturday 11 March 2023.

This one-woman play, starring Haley McGee, chronicles the tumultuous life of one person from the day she turns 25, right until her death. As the decades pass, we see her wrestle with the glorious yet melancholic unpredictability of human life. This production also provides audiences with an interactive experience as they get to decide which six stories they want to hear out of a choice of twelve, navigating through different stories from McGee’s life. The remaining six stories are left untouched and discarded, acting as a poignant reminder of how our life experiences can be shaped by seemingly insignificant choices.

Inspired by real life interviews with hospice workers, interactions with mystics and medical doctors, and trips to the cemetery, this performance promises an evocative exploration of both “the light and the dark in life”.

Age is a Feeling is directed by Soho Theatre’s associate director Adam Brace and features scenic design by Zoë Hurwitz and lighting design by Daniel Carter-Brennan.

David Luff, Soho’s creative director and producer, shared his excitement for the show’s return: “We are delighted to welcome back Haley McGee following a superb premiere presentation at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The power and beauty of her writing captivated audiences in Edinburgh and we can’t wait for her to bring this brilliant piece of theatre back to Soho Theatre.”

Tickets for Age Is A Feeling can be purchased on Soho Theatre’s website.
