Disney+ has recently unveiled the premiere date for its upcoming series, Renegade Nell, and is scheduled to debut on March 29th. The date was announced on Monday (12th February) during the streamer’s presentation today at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Los Angeles.

All episodes of Renegade Nell will premiere at once, meaning viewers can look forward to a binge-watch of the highly anticipated show. As of now, Disney+ is yet to release a trailer.

Starring Derry Girls actress Louisa Harland in the central role of suspected murderer Nell Jackson, this new action-adventure series also features actors such as Nick Mohamed (Ted Lasso), Adrian Lester (The Day After Tomorrow) and Alice Kremelberg (Orange is the New Black).

The eight-part series follows the story of Nell Jackson after she is accused of murder and becomes a highwaywoman in eighteenth-century England. However, once a brave spirit helps her, Nell discovers that her path may not have been led astray by accident.

Produced by Lookout Point, Renegade Nell has been developed by executive producers Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley), Taylor, Faith Penhale, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter, alongside Johanna Devereaux from Disney+. Amanda Brotchie, best known for her work in Gentleman Jack, and MJ Delaney from Ted Lasso, have also directed episodes. Jon Jennings holds the position of series producer, alongside producer Stella Merz.

In addition to its captivating storyline, the series also features a diverse and talented cast. The ensemble includes Frank Dillane as the intriguing Charles Devereuz, Enyi Okoronkwo as Rasselas, and Jake Dunn embodying the role of Thomas Blancehford. Furthermore, Joely Richardson stars as the formidable Lady Eularia Moggerhanger, with Pip Torrens as Lord Blancheford, and Craig Parkinson taking on the character of Sam Trotter.

Finally, Renegade Nell will also feature the screen debut of newcomers Bo Bragason and Florence Keen as Roxy and George Trotter – Nell’s younger sisters.
