As one of the most influential filmmakers working today, it comes as no surprise that every detail of Jordan Peele’s third work is hitting the headlines.

Daniel Kaluuya will collaborate once more with Peele, news that has elated audiences and critics alike. Kaluuya was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Chris in Get Out, Peele’s directorial debut. The actor’s other acclaimed roles came in Skins, Black Mirror, Black Panther, Widows and Judas and the Black Messiah

Starring alongside Kaluuya in the currently unnamed film will be Keke Palmer, who previously worked with Peele for an episode of his television series Key and Peele in 2013. Palmer has graced both the silver and small screen, most recently garnering critical acclaim with 2019’s Hustlers. The casting announcement is one that has excited cinephiles.

In keeping with Get Out and Us, Peele’s third film is said to be within the horror genre, possibly once again in the vein of a social thriller. This will be the third of Peele’s four films produced by MonkeyPaw and Universal Pictures. With hype already sky-high and the plot well under wraps, all we can do is wait for more breadcrumbs.

The untitled film is set to be released in July 2022.
