Catfish and the Bottlemen

WHO’S IN THE BAND – After a few changes in line-ups, the group are currently a four-piece – frontman Van McCann provides vocals and plays guitar, as does Johnny Bond on guitar. Completing the group is Benji Blakeway who plays the bass guitar, and Bob Hall who is on drums.

GENRE – Alternative rock.

WHERE ARE CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN FROM – Llandudno, which is a seaside resort at the North of Wales.

HOW LONG HAS THE BAND BEEN AROUND FOR – Catfish and The Bottlemen have been around since the lads’ school days, although any material the group has officially released is much more recent than their official starting date.

YOU MAY RECOGNISE THEM FROM… – Honestly, if you haven’t heard a Catfish and The Bottlemen song somewhere, I’d be surprised! Their tracks have featured in adverts, in varying football programs including Soccer AM and Match of the Day, and songs including ‘Cocoon’ have made it onto the beloved FIFA Soundtracks. The Balcony has gone Gold in the UK and produced three amazing singles, with The Ride reaching the Top Spot of the UK Album charts in 2016. Catfish and The Bottlemen have toured relentlessly over the past few years, both supporting bands and running their own headline shows, so it is also likely you will have watched them either in the tiniest venues, or during their more recent arena shows.

TOP TRACKS:

    • Cocoon
    • Pacifier
    • Soundcheck
    • Twice

You can still buy tickets for the one day festival on the 1st July at Finsbury Park, London here.
