Following a sell-out production of As You Like It in 2022, CBeebies’ stars return to Shakespeare’s Globe this May half term with an adaptation of Twelfth Night.

Bringing their unique, family-friendly twist to Shakespeare’s comedy tale of love and mistaken identities, the production is aimed at pre-schoolers and their families. A vibrant, accessible introduction to Shakespeare, the CBeebies stars hope to bring the Bard’s work to life through song, dance and audience participation.

With four live performances on 30 & 31 May, families will also have the chance to immerse themselves in the production through a series of interactive workshops. Led by practitioners from London’s open-air venue, the workshops are aimed at pre-schoolers and will explore the world of Illyria and its characters through games and activities.

Families will also have a chance to revisit last year’s production of As You Like It, which was recorded live at the Globe and will air on the CBeebies channel and BBC iPlayer on 7 April.

All four performances of Twelfth Night will be recorded in front of a live audience and aired on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer in 2024.

Tickets are available from the Shakespeare’s Globe website, ranging from £5-£35 (children under 24 months go free).
