The nominations for the 2024 Gayming Awards have been announced. Celebrating LGBTQ+ diversity and representation in gaming and beyond, the awards recognise achievements in a wide range of categories. Leading this year’s nominations is Baldur’s Gate 3 with five nominations, closely followed by Thirsty Suitors with four.
This year’s event will take place on April 7th in Palm Springs, California and live-streamed across Gayming Magazine’s TikTok and Twitch channels. Taking on hosting duties this year will be content creator, podcaster and writer Milady Confetti and award-winning drag queen and horror content creator DEERE.
Speaking about the awards, ceremony founder Robin Gray said “The Gayming Awards is the highlight of our calendar, and I’m excited it’s back bigger and better for 2024! It’s our honor to be able to celebrate the best of LGBTQ contributions both in games and in the industry. I’m also delighted to be welcoming the powerhouse duo of Milady Confetti and DEERE as our hosts for this year’s Awards. They’re going to be so awesome and bring a real buzz to the show!”
Battling it out for the coveted Game of the Year award will be Baldur’s Gate 3, Final Fantasy XVI, Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Thirsty Suitors, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical.
Voting is now open in four categories – Readers’ Award, Best LGBTQ+ Character, LGBTQ+ Streamer of the Year and LGBTQ+ Geek Entertainment Moment of the Year – until January 26 on the Gayming Magazine website.
