Astro Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Lead 2024 Game Awards Nominations
The nominees for this year’s Game Awards have been announced. Appearing in a special broadcast, the nominations for all the categories for this year’s 10th-anniversary show were revealed by host Geoff Keighley.
Astro Bot and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth lead the field with seven nominations each. They are closely followed by Metaphor: ReFantazio, which has six nominations, and Balatro and Silent Hill 2, which each has five nominations.
Battling it out to be named Game of the Year at this year’s ceremony will be Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Voting is now open in all categories on The Game Awards website, with the ceremony being held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on December 12. Voting will close on December 11 at 6 pm PT/2 am GMT on December 12. The Player’s Voice Award nominees will be announced on December 2, with votes taking place over three rounds.
