Al Gore – Internet Inventor, 2000

Al Gore, Democrat candidate for President in 2000, former Vice President and creator of the Internet. Wait, what? Well, according to an interview Gore did with CNN in 2000, he is in fact the creator of the world-wide web, yes this thing you’re surfing  now, he did it, did it ALL. It was during the closely contested 2000 Democrat Primary race that Gore made these outrageous claims, to the amazement of the viewing public and poor Tim Burners-Lee (the actual mastermind behind the internet).

In the end, this gaffe didn’t harm Gore’s Primary campaign as he went on to become the Democrat candidate. He did however lose the 2000 national election to Bush and has since been renowned worldwide as a massive, massive, massive exaggerator. Whilst Gore is no longer in mainstream politics, he is still searching for ManBearPig somewhere in South Park, Colorado.
